Arkwrights Horse Tethering Ring
Arkwright's Horse Tethering Ring in the wall of Masson Mills

Oral history passed down through generations of the Masson Mills’ workforce tells how Arkwright would ride down to this spot at the back of Masson Mill where he would tie up his horse to this tethering ring when it was raining!

In Arkwright’s day you could ride down the driveway and round to the back of the mill, (the bridge across to what is now the museum entrance was built later).
