Central tower of Masson Mill 1783

Two current members of the Masson Mill workforce have reported on several occasions feeling a cold draught of air on the upper floors of the 1783 mill and are convinced there was a ghost present. One reports that his father, who, (along with his mother and his grandparents, worked at Masson Mills during the 20th century), regularly reports seeing the ghost on the bridge at the front of the old mill.

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, the overwhelming atmosphere of Masson Mills recalls the familial spirit of continuity of work and play over many generations and certainly if Sir Richard's spirit is to reside anywhere, it would surely be here in his beloved Masson Mills.
